Trunk spoiler brake light wiring
Just tap it to one of the brake light wires coming out of one the tailights. The spoiler light should only have two wires coming out of it...positive and ground. When I installed my spoiler on my '95, I had a third brake light where I tapped it into there. Do you a have a third brake light?
All cars newer than the late 80s ( I believe) had a 3rd brake light, so tapping into that would be easy. I tapped into the brake wire from the trunk lid, just cause I couldn't find an easy way to get to the 3rd brake light without taking a bunch of stuff apart. There are only two wires and a ground going to the dual filiment tail light bulb, one is for the brake, the other is for the running light. I forget which is which, but you have a 1/2 chance of tapping the right one, so if one doesn't work, its gotta be the other.

Your Maxima is already wired up for a factory spoiler. Look under your trunk deck lid padding where the spoiler sits. There is a lose connector taped up under there. It's for the factory spoiler brake light. Just tap into that plug and your all set to go.
