EGR Solenoid Valve? What and where is this?
Yesterday I changed my knock sensor and everything was fine. Today while i was in the store i left the car idle for about 3-5 minutes. (passenger) Anyway when i come back in my car i get a Service Engine Soon Light. So i did the ECU test and I got 10 05. which is EGR Solenoid Valve. I have no clue what this is and would like to know how to fix this. I did reset the ECU and now the light went off but From what i hear the problem could still be there right? I looked in the chilton manual and I dont see anything about replacing it or anything about it at all. Also car feels sluggish, does this always happen right when you reset the ECU? If anyone knows a write up or even a picture of where it is this would be appreciated. I'm sure a hose is connected to it and it's not just a electrical component.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, it's an electrical component. In my '95, the EGR solenoid valve was a small connector with 3 small hoses coming out of it. It's green in color and it's located near the manifold by the transmission dipstick. If you're standing in front of the hood, look left of the transmission dipstick for a small connector with three hoses. There's a picture of it in the Hayne's manual. Very easy sensor to replace. I just removed the air filter assembly and part of the throttle body to access it. I didn't bother removing the hoses attached to it. I just sliced thru the old ones and put new ones on. Make sure you reset the ECU and you're done.
