What is my car worth? Thanks guys
I'm trying to sell a 1997 maxima that is in great shape. 103k miles but they are mostly highway. No dings, dents, scratches and the cars paint is excellent for a 1997. Looks almost new. Its an tan SE 5-speed, with tan leather and all options.
I just replaced:
Clutch (3k miles ago)
Tranny (3k miles ago)
CV boots and rebuilt axle (100 miles ago)
A/C compressor (10k miles ago)
A/C unit (3k miles ago)
Starter (5k miles ago)
Rear Main seal (3k miles ago)
235/40/18 tires (100 miles ago)
Rear Brakes (5k miles ago)
Front Brakes (13k miles ago)
Belts (5k miles ago)
Iddler Pulley (5k miles ago)
New Y-pipe (0k miles ago)
Oil changed religiously every 3k miles
All service up to date
Mods:
PR CAI
Cattman Y-pipe
Apexi WS cat back
Short Throw shifter
Front strut bar
KYB AGX shocks (adjustable)
Sprint Springs
35% tint
MOMO Shift ****
18" Konig Monsoons
Is $7300 to much to ask for this car?

If I was the buyer, first question would be: "why are you selling just after all those mods:
Clutch (3k miles ago)
Tranny (3k miles ago)
A/C unit (3k miles ago)
Rear Main seal (3k miles ago)
New Y-pipe (0k miles ago)
not to mention the 5K ago repairs.
Seems like they didn't work out well. 100K and 7 years old seems like much.
So first of all (like I told the other dude) go on edmunds, price the car and use the price (minus a few hundred) as a starting point for your negociations. 7,000 seems like a decent asking price, or should I say 6,900. The nine alwas makes it seem like you're getting a great deal.
I'd say you should get low to mid 6,000 for it, but I would be very surprised at more than 6,500.

This is always true. You need to get the car back to as stock as possible because having the mods doesn't add any value to the car when selling. It's better to sell the aftermarket parts or trade what you can for stock parts, then sell the car for bluebook from kbb.com or edmunds. 100k is not too high for a 97. That's about 14k miles a year, which is about average for a commuter. If you have all the records from the maintnence and services you've listed (especially tranny/clutch/brakes), you should have no problem selling the car. List it on autotrader.com, put a sign in your window, get yourself a carfax report, and it'll sell fast.
Sorry to see such a clean car go!

Kind of depends on where you are. Mods don't add value, and having them + new tranny and clutch, might have the other guy thinking that you dogged the car and broke parts. You can't prove to the other guy that it was mostly highway miles, so that doesn't help either. If it runs real good though, just let that speak for itself. Go to KBB.com, get it appraised for your area. A couple years ago, I got my 95 SE, w/ every option but leather, in perfect condition from the original owner with 65k, for $6000. Nothing had ever gone wrong with it except for 02 sensors, and no repairs have been required in the last few years I've owned it.

Good advice guys...
Well, the mods would be more or less a pain to take off of the car. I dont have stock rims so I would have to purchase those, the susp. is going to be a pain to take off, exhaust I dont have the original, etc...
I am selling because I am looking at a newer car. The Tranny, clutch, etc.. had to be done at the time so I paid the money. It was costly but I figured it would help with the sale of the vehical.
I am going to try and get a firm $7000.
