Yep, I just called to order one of their high quality, low cost ($59) front strut tower braces, and they have been replaced. The new one is "one size fits all" model that works on all years from 89' to 01'... and costs $89 over the internet. The guy on the phone wanted to charge me $109... saying the $89 price was only over the internet.

WHY would I want to pay $89 for a "one size fits all" brace? Bring back the old one!!!

By the way... What is another -sturdy- FSTB that doesn't cost all that much? I don't really care too much about looks, just function. Thanks!

Thanks! I just ordered one over the net... I hope they don't take forever to ship. It was $35 + $12 shipping. As long as it's a sturdy piece, I'll be a happy guy.

They are currently stocked w/the Vibrant FSTB its a solid piece, perfect fit for me and a definite improvement on my relatively stock Max. Took 7 days from order to receipt.

I just checked their site and couldn't find a pic of it but for that money you can't beat it. I imagine the only difference would be the looks. Do you think the street beat is as good looking as a courtesy bar and what color are the brakets? Also I have 1999 SE-Limited and do you think I would encounter the same problems that you did even though the brackets might be slightly different. If anyone has a 1999 have you installed one? Actually you used a 2000 model on yours didn't you Daniel B.?

The Coutesy FSTB end plates are bright red. I have no idea about the color of the Street Beat unit.

The box from my Courtesy FSTB is clearly marked NISSAN MAXIMA 99-F.

Thanks Daniel. I have the Red 99SE-Limited so I might go with that if the street beat doesn't have one in red. How well do you think the courtesy would match the crimson blaze of the SE-Limited? Thanks again.

The Courtesy end plates are bright red. They won't match your car's paint, but it should be reasonably close. If "perfect match" is important, you might try spray-painting the end plates with touch-up paint before installation.
