Best service manual?
#1
Hey guys, I need a recommendation on the best service manual for a '99 SE. I've used Chilton's books before, I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that they cover a few years, etc, all lumped together. Whereas the official Honda manual for my old Accord is great, nice and detailed, good drawings, and just relating to my car. Would the Nissan manual be the best choice? Or perhaps Haynes or Chilton's? The Nissan manual is quite expensive. I'm not looking to do huge amounts of work on the car, just maintenance-type stuff (fluids changes, etc). Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks!

After I posted this, I checked google.com (formerly deja.com) for any newsgroup postings on this, and found that Daniel B. Martin had already posted a really great comparison between the Nissan, Chilton's, and Haynes manuals. It can be read here:

Daniel, thank you very much, just reading posts you've made in the last few days has been tremendously helpful and educational. You're an amazing resource!
