Mine isn't. It's running great and I just got 19.5 mpg on my last tank
Makes me happy. Took her to redline and then shifted (I'm auto) into 4th when I hit O/D off. Such a beautiful thing.

well i cause all of my problems, they are because of my driving style and from me hitting the redline at least afew ti mes a day
. If i drove the car "normal" then the only problem i would of had so far is knock sensor and tuneup.

. . and I break at least 20MPG per tank dispite my agressive driving habbits. My car is running very nicely right now and I put new brake pads on so it's stopping nicely. 19.5 mpg? Thats nothing. I don't think I've gone under 20mpg since last summer.

Need to give it a wash though, tons of roadworks in my area lately so it's got mud and all sorts splashed all over it.

Mines running great. Getting ready to do the body color door pillar mod sometime this week. No unusal sounds. Of course you shouldn't expect too many problems from a Maxima that has just over 50K on it. Doing an oil change Tues. Mobil 1 is good, right? Oh, plus the Slick 50 stuff.
Take it easy.

Scott_98Max,
Mobil 1 is fine. Why are you going to add Slick 50? An oil like Mobil 1 doesn't need any aftermarket additives mixed with it. Mobil does a fine job themselves. Slick 50 is commonly regarded as snake oil. FTC fined them and many others for making unsubstantiated claims. Personally, I'd just stick with a quality oil (Mobil 1, Castrol GTX, or several others) and filter, and change as recommended or as oil analysis dictates.
Back on topic, my '97 is running fine. Just have a funny "whirring" sound when braking very softly at low speeds (consistent with wheel speed, but no pulsating in brake pedal). And I have some chips on the front end. A few little dings from inconsiderate people. And my passenger airbag cover has some of the color rubbed off.

475 miles to my last tank-o-petro when I drove out to the Montgomery Alabama from Houston. That, and she ran a 14.8 once there. I guess shes running good wouldn't you say guys? Oh yeah. I'm 5 speed.

my car is running so gorgeous, i just can't seem to get out of it. It's awsome I actualy look forward to driving it. Nothing wrong with it at all. Yeah she's got a few rock chips but what 95 doesn't. And I still can't get over the feel of y pipe and jwt ecu. God it's awsome.

It's a start since I do mostly city driving. My trip to and from work is 1 mile which takes 5 minutes. I think 19.5 is pretty good considering I was getting 14-16 last monthOriginally Posted by vsidesupratt1

Hey Dave, What's up? Thanks for the tips man, I really appreciate it. The only reason why would think about using Slick 50 is that I used it in my old '95 Nissan Hardbody XE pick-up. Drove it, from 36K when I bought it, 200K+ and still was able to get $3k for a trade-in. Originally Posted by Dave Holmes

Let's just say that it didn't always get the maintenance that it required.
It was my delivery trunk when I was working Pizza. Had the truck for 3 years (approx. time that I worked Pizza) and the only things I had to replace were the altenator and the Radiator. The radiator was my fault. I hit/ran over a bear going about 75-80.
Anyways...I'm off topic a little bit. That's why I would Slick 50...plus, what about the warrenty they offer...? I mean, I don't want to kill the Max, but I do know that it hasn't done me wrong in the past...any other thoughts?
Thanks again, Take it easy.
