I talked to hal not too long ago, this was one of his projects back then. This car is still in his garage waiting to be sold. He's actually looking for a different platform for a drag car. He said that the new one might be a lexus.

I really wish i had the money to buy that car...it's a known car here at maxima.org.

oh ya?

i heard that he is workin on a SC400. that bastard is riiiiiiiiiich, he takes the max to the track in his yellow H2.

i could sell my max right now, buy his and still have some cash left over. i gave it some thoughts but i dont think that car will last me more than a year.

yeah that car will need alot of money to be fixed up all the time. I could buy it right now too but since it's all stock internals, stock injectors, stock tranny, and was beaten to hell I think it's on the edge of breaking completly. It's a funny thing the internals on that car are stock and is still maybe most powerfull max on the planet (at least a 4th gen), what the hell are the guys with internals from vq30det doing? Or are they just too secret about their numbers?

you should see what some of the new VG30DETT's are putting out, several have hit 800+, and a few even in the 1000+ range, its getting pretty crazy. Z1motorsports.com just came out with a turbo kit for Z's that runs over $15,000 (plus labor of about $5000 + cost of internal modifications) that is good for 800+ HP at the wheels

Argh!
's everywhere...

There have been 800+ hp VG30TT's for quite a while. They can take a beating with the iron block. People strap rediculously big turbos to them, and then go to lunch while they spool up

And nobody has mentioned that hal blew like 3 engines in the process of creating the most powerful maxima. And for the record, it never did garner the fastest track time. He's had an up and down rep around here, so i'll decline to comment futher.

I seen the vid before, but my favorite part is the speedo just flying up as you can hear the wheels spin.

SC400 eh? I hear people swap the 2JZ Supra TT engine to the Lexus SC's and IS's. Perhaps thats what he is doing?

Oh, and I believe his Hummer is black, not yellow .
