This thought came across my mind today, how many Crimson Blaze red maximas were made? I know they are rare, but how rare?

 

If I'm not mistaken only 99 SE-L's had that color option.

Please dont quote me but I believe somewhere around 1500. I have personally only seen two in my life with my own eyes.

Yea before I got my red max, I had only seen 1 or 2 in my lifetime, so thats why im wondering how many exist. 1500 seems like alot for people only seeing like 1 or 2 ever. I live in a large metro area, so either 1498 are owned in a different area, or its less than 1500.

 

Ive seen 2 here in south florida, both were in horible horible shape, one had alot of patches of primer as if it was in reperation, bubled up tint, unevern suspension. they just let that maxima go to waste, what a shame.
The other seemed ok but it was just very very dirty and also had purple bubled up tint and a dent in the fender. also the engine didnt sound to healthy (sorta like an 88 camry whose seeing its final days)

 

who is the guy who worked for nissan who had a red SEL with a 5 speed and fully loaded...cause he had all of the numbers on his cardomain site.

 

btw ive seen at least 7 in my travels....

 

wow 7 havent seen that many...but in colorado springs ive seen 4 talked to 3 and the other was on a nissan lot

 

there is a guy who lives in my street and he drives a red maxima SEL. we ran into each other few days ago and both were checkin each other out (oncommin traffic). no words were said.

 

i've seen 1 red 3rd gen and 1 red 4th gen in my entire life.

 

saw one at a local junkyard with ct plates, one girl drives a riced out one at my school, and i've seen two other random ones around my hometown area.

man there are like 3-4 in my town. not to mention the couple I looked at before i got my current max (they both had way to many miles)

 

I seen many in person. . . at the Maxima meet. But I only see one or two around my aera.

A girl at my college has one. The paint is pretty faded already though doesnt look bright like the one in your sig.

i haven't seen any, but i'm from Canada (don't think they made them up here). But if you think about it, if there are 1-4 in cities around the US, then i'm sure 1500 is very possible, cause they're are a lot of cities, and probrobly a lot that no one ever see's.

I have a RED MAX. You don't really see too many of them on the road.

 

My Maxima looks just like yours except the clear bumper lights. Mine got STOLEN after six months I had them on. Bought them from custommaxima, but now they are gone.

 

I have seen 1 red 3rd gen(back in the day, my older brother almost bought it....he brought it home and I think that is when I fell in love with maximas).

I have seen 2 red 99's other than mine. Supposedly, there is one running around here in my city just like mine. That sucks, because I used to have the only one anywhere around here. My brother told me he saw it a couple of weeks ago with clears. He thought it was me. Then, this morning, a friend of mine calls and asks if I got some rims. I told him no, but I bet it was that other guy. I have yet to see the other one, but I was to talk to him and tell him this is my territory. He cannot just come into this red max's turf and take over. He must bow. ha ha. He is not on the org, but I would like to get him to be.

 

I think the ones back in 92 were called Aztec Red. That was the only other year they made a bright red, I believe.

 

I know how it feels, you gotta be the only red maxima in the area, atleast i am. I get many complements from people because of how nice my car looks, red isnt very common so people take notice when they see my car.

 

I know of 3 other ones in my area...One belongs to a woman, whose the mother of a guy that has an AWSOME modded max, the other was bought by a guy from my friend's dad's dealer, and another is still for sale at a local dealer.

 

ive seen 2 around my area, one i see all the time so it just has become another maxima to me. they are hott though.

Saw a red one here in Westford today...prob the only one I've seen outside of beantown.

 

I've only seen a red one twice, and i think it was the same car here in buffalo.

I have seen about 3-4 here in DFW. Eye catching. I had to look for three weeks for mine... Back then I described the color as ***** red... Glad to know its technical name... Crimson Blaze.

I picked mine up in DFW area. Mine might have been one of the ones you saw. This was last year. I saw it on ebay, and then called the guy and told him I would buy it right then. We agreed on a price and it was all over then.

 

Yea, my car wasnt maintained as well as id liked it to be, the paint was a little dull in some areas, but I buffed those out right away. Did a full wash, claybar, DOUBLE polish, and wax allover the whole car just a couple weeks ago. The red is just amazing now. Even though it is an auto, the red was worth it, cant pass this color up.

 

You guys really want to know which is the most rare color on a 4th Gen you hardly ever see here or on the street(at least for me) for that matter: Mahogany Pearl on '99's
