Tokico Blue (HP) would be better, or go with KYB GR2 struts.

The struts are all the same for the 4th gen. It's the springs that are different. BTW, our stock struts are Tokico.

nadir_s is running eibach on stock SE shocks for awhile, so far it's doing pretty good. i say if you are short on $$ for now, go with SE shocks until it blow, either way ur SE shocks is gonna be sittin in the garage so why not put it into good use? the downside of this is that ur ride is not gonna be bouncy. and u'll have to work on ur suspension twice..

Big D, is that true? Are our struts made by Tokico? I didn't know that.

Anyone else verify this?

Yeah we were just working on SUPERFISHSTICK's suspension and the struts had Tokico written on them in a few places. Like I said before, GXE, GLE, and SE have the same struts, the springs are different.

I thought that the front struts on SE 5-speeds were different, but i definately could be wrong. THe OEM struts ARE made by tokico, I do know that for sure

Well the ones I have look identical to the ones my buddy has on his 98 5-spd. They might be a bit stiffer because the 5spd weighs less, but even the part numbers were the same.
