njmaxseltd said it best when he installed some cut springs for a client: "Next was the cut Eibach spring install. I'll make this short and simple. Cut springs are dangerous. They do not sit correctly in the seats, especially up front. You barely have a full coil seated on the strut do to the harder angle the chopped coil has which makes it very possible for the spring to unseat itself which could cause loss of control of your vehicle. We had to self seat the spring onto the strut by hand as the car was slowly lowered. A large bump or dip can very easily unseat the spring."
Second:
There's no such thing as "defective springs" they either hold your car up, or they don't.
Third:
If you think maxspeeds are rough, you don't even know how rough uncut Eibachs are. And worse when you cut them, they get rougher, slamming into the bumpstops, hitting your head on the ceiling, and especially when they unseat themselves off the spring seats and your car starts scraping the ground:
Fourth:
If you really want some information from someone who has ridden in almost every combination, check out this page if you haven't already:

PCguru with his JICS were more comfortable then my car Toylet902 with his cut eibachs and agx were FREAKING A DREAM RIDE compared to mine they can vouch for this if you want. I'm telling you something is wrong it is way too stiff. I guarantee you it's the springs. If you sit in my car and don't think its stiff as i say it is i will give u a 100$ and if u dont hit ur head when im driving on the BQE ill give u another 100$ but if either one happens ur paying me double.

just go with the Tein S-techs .... I put a set on last week ....dropped 2.25 front and 1.75 rear... thats wat I measured the next day...currently on stock struts...will be swapping for AGX soon...ride is not bad but the car deff needs a stiffer strut than stock.... I don't think I would be happy with the GR2's after driving around on the stock struts for a few days...later

I just installed the S-Techs and Illuminas and am very pleased with the drop and suprisingly the ride as well. Being 17, I figured I would be able to tolerate a harsher ride than my parents. After my dad drove my newly lowered ride, he said the ride felt sportier and he loved how it hugged the corners. Sorry but I haven't gotten any pics yet, but I highly recommend this setup.
