i dunno if any of you can help here, but my sister's 99 maxima had a haywire seatbelt light that was always lit for a while, even when the seatbelt was actually on. she didn't worry about that light. recently, the air bag light came on and started blinking all of the damn time; immediately following the start of the blinking air bag light, actually on the very next day, the 8-month long blinking seatbelt light went off.

odd coincidence - which could mean just a small electronic malfunction? or i wonder if the airbag system is actually at fault? would you think the air bag system still works if it is an electrical malfunction, or if both the air bag systems and the electronics are screwed - or something along those extremely vague lines. thanks if you can help me.
