Eibach Pro Kit on Stock SE Struts

Well basically, i'm broke(im sure u guys know the feeling) and ive heard mixed opinions about running the Eibach Pro Kit on stock SE Struts but i was wondering since its only a 1.6" drop would it be alright to run them on stock struts?

No, Your shocks could already be blown... Mine were when I replaced my struts/springs... Get new struts/shocks and be happy ;-)

If you out of funds, then put the springs in the closet and wait it out a bit, it will be worth it, im sure you dont want to take apart the suspension 2 times..

They will blow within 10k miles (if they aren't blown already), even brand new Tokico Blue rears blow within 10k on Eibachs.

Wait untill you can install some better:

I went with sprint

I was able to pick up the sprint kit that is often on ebay. It comes with springs and struts. Both sprint. I love it.. It rides so nice, better then my old stock 90 accord. If I were you I would just try to pick that deal up because I paid less then 350 for springs and sturts. And they ride like a champ. Just me though

I have the Eibachs on my car with stock SE struts. Had them on since 50k and am now running up to 66k. No blown struts yet...

The suspension isn't hard to do at all...with the right tools. It all depends on how inclined you are.

(yes, I do know the life expectancy of the stock struts is limited with the Eibachs...that is a given since they were already 50k old. I'm just not worried about it since new struts can be installed at the next DNE meet )

I also have Eibach's on my stock SE struts, I did put in new bumper stops and boots, the car rides firmer but not harsh and no bounce (bounce is usually shock condition anyway), which is exactly what I wanted. I've put on about 10k no problems

I was gonna start a similar thread, but i guess ill ask on this cuz its the same thing. How bout maxspeed springs w/ stock SE struts? Many people say that you CAN becuase its only 1.5 front and 1.3 back lower. Is it true or will they blow out very soon? also, what do dust boots and stoppers do, and where and how much can i get em?

I know the SMX had after market springs and stock dampeners, call me stupid but I thought they were Eibachs. One test driver said the ride was somewhat bouncy. Anyway my point is if you ever get aftermarket springs then get matched struts, it's that simple. So pair them up with an adjustable strut.

I have had my eibach pro kit on my stock se struts for about 3 years. I prob have at least 25K on them. I dont think they are blown. It does ride pretty rough and wouldnt recommend it. I didnt have the $$ at the time nor do I have it now. I waiting to put in Tokico Illumina Struts. Anyone else with that setup? How exactly do u know if your struts are shot?
