Title says it all. Things were fine until I added fuel system cleaner. On the second trip after adding it, the CEL came on.

 

have you pulled ECU codes ....
But the answer should be no, as it those things really aren't much but gas anyway ...

 

02 Sensor. I believe as the fuel injector cleaner has some chemical in it. My friend ran chevron techron and his cel came on..do do do.. My only guess is it made the car run rich..and tripped the cel for a while. it went away though after resetting it.

 

That is exactly what i used...Techron on 1/4 tank of 93 gas.

I will reset after I do a fill-up and hope for the best.

 

yep that did it to mine too. Causes the O2 sensor to pick up something. Just reset the ecu and you should be fine.

 

I've used chevron techron fuel system cleaner and never had this problem, I actually have some in my tank now....

 

I reset the light today and it is off...so far.

I tried to read the code and was all confused. It would not flash until I tried to drive (move the car), and it woudl stop when I stopped the car. If I sat, it woudl restart after a while, but I was not really sure what I was looking for. There seemed to be no pattern whatsoever to the flashes.

Anyway, hopefully it was the Techron. I filled up and reset the light and I am "off" so far.

I did the full bottle of Techron on 1/8 tank of gas, and the gas had been in the tank for about 3 months.
