clusters

HI everyone i just got my first maxima and im a true newbie so plz bare with me. I was wondering if the gle cluster on the 4th gen is replaceable with the se indiglo version and if so it just plug-in and go or what? Thanks for any help.

Yeah they are. Very easy install. I changed mine out. The SE cluster is not really indiglo, they're just white.

cluster swap
is it possible to put the clustter from a 98 se into a 97gle if anyone has any input on this i would be glad to hear

yep. i have a 95 SE(or 96) cluster in my 97 GXE.

95-97 are switchable
98-99 are switchable
You can use a 98-99 in a 95-97 and viseversa

my boy changed his 98 GLE cluster out with a 99 SE-L cluster with the titanium gauges off ebay, and he lost the mileage that was on his old cluster. went from like 40k to 30k... i thought the milage would have been stored somewhere but now his milage is off by like 10k
