Need Rear Suspension help..Safety issue
I urgently need someone's help. I have a vibration somewhere in the rear, I feels like it is something with the rear beam. If I am on the highway and hit a series of bumps, I feel like I do not have control of the car. The rear is not bouncy nor is it noisey. The best way to describe it is once I hit bump the rear never seems to get it's footing. If I hit a bump on the left side it feels like it makes the entire rear vibrate. I had the incorrect size tire on and I recently added the correct size and I thought problem was due to the sidewall being too tall. Well I have a much better grade tire and the problem is still there. If I am on the highway going 60 mph and I hit a series of bumps the rear end is all over the place.
I thought maybe the struts were gone (and they probably are) 126K miles but I also thought a blown strut would be very noisy going over pot holes ( and the car is not) I will due springs and struts and see if the problem is still there, but my gut tells me there is something loose in the the rear beam. The reason why I say the rear beam is that regardless of which side the bump is on the entire rear vibrates. I have had 3 4th Gens and I have never had this problem
My question is .....Is there some type of adjustment in the rear that might be loose?
Is there an alignment adjustment to the rear?
I am very concerned, I have a 700 mile trip planned next weekend
Thanks Guys I hope I was detailed enough

it would seem highly likely that it is the rear struts, for the beam to come loose it would probably have caused some sort of major accident already or major malfunction of the entire rear suspension
