Just go to your local pep boys or autozone and get a universal style filter, works just as good as all those other ones.

well you ruined it by spary painting it .

anyways they all serve the same purpose, yes the apex looks cool and k&n might last longer or something if cleaned properly, but regaurdless you will get the same hp gain from it. And the jwt and stillen are all the same to, they are just diffrent sizes

I've heard arguments that and engine can only suck in so much air. Im not an engineer so I cant really say for sure either way but it does make an intereasting point. I think its all about location of the filter and how much air flow its recieving

The Spectre (Autozone) and APC (VIP, NAPA...) air filters are both like $20-25 and work fine. They arent woth cleanin IMO, just buy another one. Whats wrong with the Bomz filters anyway? I know they are small but is their filtration poor or something?

again, i don't know why people make intake into such a complicated thing:

stock intake system is very restrictive due to its piping and filtering. changing into aftermarket intake will allow better air induction into the engine. therefore, better air induction will combust better, result in better performance.

since the performance is based on the intake piping and filter, choosing a quality piping and filter will detemine the performance result. small filter will suck less air than big filter. a cleaned and pre-oiled filter will perform better than a dirty and not-oiled filter. a smooth intake piping will perform better than restrictive intake piping.

i'm just listing out basic facts in general. yes there are debate over different style of intake will perform better than the others, but every car is different. in the past, cheston's CAI seem to better, but nagil's short ram turned out pretty good. dave B said stock intake is better. spaniard claimed his ram-air induction worked well. jime's custom CAI from the headlight gave him awesome number on the track.

SO WHO IS RIGHT?

to actually find out the truth, please take your car to the dyno, try all the intakes out on the same day. if you think popcharger works then use popcharger. if you think CAI is better than go for it. etc.

bottom line is, an intake is just an intake.
