o2 sensor cleaning

well i'm in the process of installing my y-pipe and the o2 sensors have some carbon build up. i wasn't getting any codes before so can i just wipe them off with a cloth. or is their a safe cleaner i can use?

maybe some brake cleaner. Try not to wipe the sensor, or if you do, very gently, They are very fragile.
