VG vs VQ

VG vs VQ

I know they are two different engines, and that the VQ is a lot better performance wise, but whats the diff b/t the 2? And i always hear people tlaking about how the VQ is an awsome engine, i can agreee, but why IS it so good? i jus wanna know more about the engine i have (VQ)

WHICH VG??? The VG30DE as it came in the Z32 na 300zx was 3.0 liters and 222 horses. 4 valver/twin cam VG.

Holy cripes. 134 posts and you don't know if your engine has 1 cam per head or 2 cams per head?

Read all the 4 gen faqs and the maxima.org faqs on the main page.

wow....nevermind im an idiot, its DOHC. well someone siad one has 4 cams and one has 2, and he said the VG has 4, so i figured the sohc was the VQ, but them i looked and i found out im an idiot

The VQ is also 108 lbs lighter than the VG...thats why is revs up so much faster and alot smoother than the VG.
