My max usually has an idle of 550-650. Recently it went up to 1000. Then a few days ago it went down to 900(both times with the a/c off). I have been thinking about adjusting the screw that is on the throttle body. But today, I pulled up the parking brake and I WAS GOING TO TRY to reach 550 by applying the clutch. When I pushed in the clutch(in neutral), the idle goes to regular idle (550-650). It then stays there. I turn the a/c on and it goes up a little.(ALL UNDER 900!). It is as if something were stuck. What's wrong?

 

idle should be high at cold start. but after it's warmed up it should be around 800rpm at parking, 750rpm at drive. (for auto at least)

adjust your IACV (idle air control valve) if you wish, but IMO ur number looks fine.

 

It's after it's warmed up. And its manual. That's good if its normal. But why was there a sudden change in it though? And why after the clutch is pushed in and out does it go down?
