ive recently purchased a set of AGX struts from an Org'er and recieved them on monday. These arent installed yet. i just took both of the struts and i can push down the long silver shaft and it slllloooooowwwwly returns to normal position. i thought it would just shoot back up, is this normal??? also i hear liquid moving around i guess this is the gas and oil is this normal also??? id like to know if these struts are ok and are not blown, i was told they only had 6,000 miles on them, any help is gladly appreciated.

 

Thats normal... When I got my kyb gr-2's I could push them down and they would return slowly... They were really hard to push down though.

 

It's when the rod is not coming up that your struts are blown.

For the sound you hear it's normal. You have some valve in the struts ( to ajust pressure ) and the sound is coming from the gas who pass in the valves.

 

oh ok, im relieved, i trust the buyer and would def do business with him again. I jus got woried because i read another thread how someone got jiped outta 500 bux, i just wanted to be sure everything is ok. thanx guys

 

They're fine. Struts are hard to go down and slow to come up. Shocks on the other hand are the opposite, easy to go down but they shoot up.
