I recently bought a 95 SE with full options - leater bose moonroof etc. Automatic (I know), 75K miles. Paid $11,200 at a dealer with extended 2 year warranty and tax. Its in great condition nice Dark Green color Hopefully I'll have some pics on the web soon.

Rims are currently stock just got a brand new set put on by the dealer so I dont plan on touching them for a while.

I must say this cars been a pleasure to drive Only problem I have is when I'm not in overdrive and the gear swaps from 1st to 2nd the car suddenly slows down sort of like a jerk (not precisely but I cant describe it any other way). With OD on I dont have that problem. Acceleration is very smoot w/o any problems.

Second question I had about the car in general. It takes about 5 minutes to warm up if I just leave it idle. However if I drive it cold literally within a miunte the engine is above C (130?). I use the car for short trips to class (about 1 miles away) only when I'm in a hurry. How bad is it for the car?

I was wondering what kind of *cheap* mods I could do. I was told one of the simplest things I could do was change my air filter. Any recommendations? A part number/brand would be useful.

How about some nice fog lights? I really like what Nick Robinson has done with his

Anything else that you guys could recommend? I was thinking of replacing the muffler (and no I am not going ghetto and changing it to a dual exhaust).

Last thing I also want to replace my headlight alarm warning its too soft for me and I never seem to remember to turn it off when I'm driving in the day. Usually on clouded VA days.

cheap mods

Don't know about the tranny problem, I've never owned an auto. As for mods, try a front strut tower brace (FSTB) helps tighten up the front end in corners ~40-70 bucks depending on where you go (Streetbeat, Courtesy Nissan, etc...). For the intake, go with a K&N panel filter for cheap with mimimal HP gain, or get a Jim Wolf Pop-charger cone intake for around 100-120 bucks with a little more HP gain. If you're going for handling, the next thing to get after the FSTB is a good set of tires. I have Bridgestone Potenza RE730s and they're incredible. Check out the "Links" page for places to look for mods. That should get you started, have fun!

No tranny problems, knock on wood. Buy a generic velocity stack intake w/a MAF adapter.

Regarding the intake

Actually..if you want it to stay quiet, and save tons (relatively, compared to other options) of money.. do the OSCAI thingamabob. Its actually just a Ram-Air heater duct thing that you attach to the plastic pipe that runs into yer resonator/collector box under yer battery. You remove that box, and then attach the duct to the pipe, and run it down towards the front of yer car.. there are other links on this, i just dont know them offhand.

But, this should cost you only $5-10 plus labor I got rid of that box a long time ago, and was plannin on doing it, with my stillen intake.

I like it. Car revs faster, and i definitely have more power on topend. I have 18s & an auto, reaching 130 used to take a while.. i can get to it faster now, and still climb higher, tho i rarely do so.

Just need to fix that damn MIL

Sounds like (+) reinforcement for the ECU upgrade.

William, I like the pictures of your installs (thumbs up to the included pricing), in addition to your engine bay color choice. Keep up the good work.
