K&N drop in filter worth the $$ for automatic?
K&N drop in filter worth the $$ for automatic?
I have a 99 SE and it's got an Automatic tranny.
If i purchase the K&N filter that just replaces the stock filter (rectangular shape);
1) Will I notice any gains in horsepower?
2) Will I notice any gains in mpg?
3) Where is the cheapest place to get it from? (internet?)
4) Do i have to do any modifications?

I had that in My car did not notice any kind of HP Gain. Nothing what so ever. Try some CAI.
I had a Jim Wolf Technology intake for almost two years. I took it off(due to the how loud it is) and put it back on several times. I finally just left the K&N drop in filter in there, and could not be happier.
I could not tell a if there was a difference in power with either of the intakes, so I just opted to keep the quiet one on the car.
