Pro Kit on SE Struts

I know some people run the Pro Kit springs on the SE Suspension and Id just like to know how it is workin out for you guys. Also would like feedback if anyone is running another type of spring on SE Struts that are working alright. I know I should really get aftermarket struts as well (planning on doing it within next 10k miles) but im strapped for cash and impatient(bad combo). My struts are in great condition.

I like my Eibach/AGX combo very much. I've experimented with different settings. The springs work well on any setting, 1 feels stock to 4 feels hard as a rock. I don't know how long your struts will last but I had Intrax springs on stock SE struts and the ride was smooth but the rear bottomed out. I think you will kill your stock struts in a few months to a year.

I bought some stock SE struts all 4 for $18.00 from an online member who took them off his 1999 Maxima at 18,000 miles I installed them w/my Max Speed springs and I blew the rear struts in two days, all the oil leaked out, I then went on Ebay to find some replacement rear struts I ended up getting some brand new KYB GR-2’s for $56.00 and I installed them recently! I am currently running the stock SE struts in the front and they are fine! When/if they blow I will replace them w/KYB GR-2’s.

Yeah on the 96 my rears leaked but they never lost all the fluid. The fronts just started to leak when I took out the Intrax, about 8 months.

FYI my stock 98 fronts struts were pretty much toast with 89k so I don't think the Eibachs will like your 96 struts to much.

don't think those will hold up like the Gr2s...but I could be wrong...I'm planning to get a set of Gr2's for the front...got tokico blues for the rear and going to be running H&R springs

Just wait till you can buy struts along with the springs. You'll be much happier in the long run.

Hum... well im not really looking to go AutoCrossing... I just want to get the lowered look. I know the stock struts wont handle lowering springs knowing they have 103k miles. I got under the car yesterday and the struts and shocks were torn to hell. But i think saving up for some Gr2's would be my best bet.

Thanks

Sean
