Knock with 91 octane?

Knock with 91 octane?
I was thinking and it seems to me that if you have a bad knock sensor, it wouldn't matter if you used higher octane fuel, right?
Cuz when the ecu determines your ks has failed, it's not going to be aggressive with the fuel air combo.
I think I've had a bad ks since I got the car at 121k.
So all this time I've been using 91 octane, I really wouldn't have noticed any difference.
I've ordered a new knock sensor.
But not I'm wondering, will 91 give me knock too?

0304 :P
Its not always bad if it comes out with another code, I hear the knock sensor triggers a ghost CEL when you put really bad cheap octane in it or something im not sure if thats true or not...
Other codes can trigger the KS code but if you get it alone you probably have a failing/failed knock sensor...
Anyways, I also heard if you recieve very hard knocking that will drain some of the life of the KS and fail prematurely... Also this is something I hard on the org so nobody flame me for none of it, just relaying information previously passed on :P
