Lights dim when I use blinkers/brake/bass from stock speakers.

This happened just recently and I don't know why. Whenever I hit the brakes my headlights dim a bit and then brighten back. Same with using my blinkers and when the bass from the stock bose speakers hits at all.....any ideas? I checked the battery connections to make sure I'm getting a good connection but I wanna know what you all think.

Sounds like you have a loose ground wire? If the negitive connection at the battery is tight then check the other end of the ground wire. You might have a loose chassis ground. My headlights used to dim when my bass would hit & it turned out to be a loose ground wire. If that doesn't cure the problem then check to see if your altinator is sending enough voltage to your battery. It should be above 14.4 volts when the vehicle is running @ idle...

I bet its either a battery or alternator that is becoming dead or low. A large sound system will drain alternators.... thats a fact. Becuase when a hard bass line hits... its drawing current from your alternator... over time this destroys it. My advice is go to your local Autozone and they can do alt/battery diagnosis and see how they are. But i also suggest getting a capacitor for your system.... that way it will help save your alternator

Check the opisite end of the ground wire connected to your battery. It is usually grounded to the chassis or the engine block...

Yea, I have tomorrow off work so I'll hit autozone and have them check out the battery/alternator.

LudeAEM : I have the stock Bose system in my car. Only thing different is I have a Kenwood headunit which should cause that to happen should it?

Guess i'll have to follow the black wire road....

go to ebay, type in BATCAP, you can get a battery and a capacitor that has 50 Farads, all in one. You'll never have to worry about dimming again ; )
