I just got a new set of leather seat. (from a '97gle) My previous set did not have passenger electric controls. The new one does.
I searched underneath the passenger side carpeting but, found nothing.

How do I go about hooking this up?

The seats also have heat, it would be nice to hook this up as well but, it's not a priority.

As always, thanks for any help you could provide.

Well my power seat adjusts without the key in the ignition, so all you should have to do is run a fused hot wire to a continuous power source. The heating part would be a little trickier since you will need to switch the heats off and on. I would suggest you get a factory wiring diagram to see how it's done.

hmm, that does not sound too simple. I'm simple minded.
a fuse, what size?

I guess my first stop should be a wiring diagram.

thanks, I'll post outcome.

Well, the Chilton's manual does not have a wiring diagram for the seat adjusters or heaters. I will have to defer that to someone with the factory manual. Anyone out there care to look that up?

except mine didn't come with heated option; if you take out the center console i think you will find the heated seat connector.

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought that you didn't have a power driver's seat.
