Im not completely sure what it could be, but about half the time i start my car when the motor is cold it has this wierd slipping, squeaking noise. i think its the belt but im just seein if it could be anything else??

dito, i got the same thing. worse after i changed my starter. sounds like a donkey.

 

that's the problem with maximas now a days, the starter. I get the same thing...

 

well, i guess its a good thing im not the only one out there, any ideas though how to get rid of it??

 

i have the same sound when cold outside, and have trouble starting when the engine is cold or left to sit overnight.. how could the noise have gotten worse after you changed the starter??
