What is the correct idle for our Maxs'?
What is the correct Idle for our 4th gen 5speed maxes? Currently, after my car warms up a bit, it sits right at 600. Is that where it's supposed to be or does it need to be higher/lower?

Thanks IWanna! Guess i'm sitting close enough to 650. Or I just can't tell it's sitting at 650.

i adjusted mine, my gas milage went way up after i did, i sit right @ 600, although i do believe i need a new iacv

what about when the car is first started what should the idle be?

when I start my car the idle is around 1300-1500... Goes down to 1000, then after it gets warmed up its around 650-700

I think auto is supposed to have a warm idle at around 850.

Ideal idle for most manual transmission vehicles is 5k rpm, although Maximas tend to have it a little higher - I would say anything from 5k to 6.5k is considered normal.
