A/T shifter ?

Okay, i have a 97 maxima se and as u can tell, its an automatic. My question is, is their n e way that we can shorten that long ostreage neck shifter ? Is their a place that we can buy one or can we cut it ? I need some help.

I shortned mine when I changed it to a Levoc shift ****. I had to cut the post down using a pipe cutter. Then I had to shorten the metal post that the button pushes down on to shift, using a hack saw. It was a slight pain in the a$$, but I think it looks much better that way.

Also when switching to the levloc, you can shorten it another way. On the backside of the levloc shifter there are two screw holes. With the stock height the screw goes into the top hole. When shortened it goes into the bottom hole. To do this you take off the stock shifter and it reveals a triangular yellow plastic piece. You then shave this peice down, till it fits the bottom hole on the levloc. I know this is not as drastic a fix like cutting the pipe, but its easy and it probably takes 20mins. I wouldnt say it shortened it alot probably quarter to a half inch but you definately can see the difference.
