idea just came to me when i was sitting in my car and looking at how dull it's getting. i was wondering if people who have real nice show car interiors or people who just like to keep it clean and modded have polished the ignition...
seems pretty straight forward in idea, i hope people don't think it's ricey, i figure since people polish in the engine bay which looks really nice, why not? it's hardly a noticable thing anyways, but i bet it wouldn't look bad.

has it been done before?

i've taken all the trim around that area off before but never really noticed or thought about removing it, but i bet it can be done.

any thoughts? please no harsh flames, just throwing out ideas here.

I think it would look better instead of that dull grayish metal.

i agree, that's what made me think of it. i hear polishing isn't too hard, just can be tedious. luckily it's small so shouldn't be bad. i don't think i've ever seen it done before...apparently from the response, not too many other people are interested?

If u find something to match it too i would do it like Arrafio has his engine bay with chromed parts but if it doesn't match anything i wouldn't do it.

Tony, just wanted to let you know that your maxima is INCREDIBLE. That is exactly how I want my maxima to look (If i had the $$$). Love the rims and body kit. Paint job is awesome, too. Your max truely is "A MAX2NV".

This is a great idea. The polishing shouldn't be very tedious because the area is very small and could even be done without a dremel or sander but my concern is the metal. The metal nicks and dents very easily implying that it is very soft and therefore very hard to polish or if it is polishable it might not look very good. I guess we just have to wait and see how good Tony can make it look.
