Hey guys. I have a 1995 Maxima with 103,000 miles. Within the last couple days it has started having a hard time starting. The motor turns over alot before it finally starts, and sometimes I smell gas when it turns over so much. Once it starts, it seems to run and drive just fine. It only seems to have this problem when starting it. Earlier today, it "hiccuped" when I was trying to start it and the "check engine" light come on. It kind of acts like it is flooding out when I am turning it over. There are no external fuel leaks anywhere and a couple months ago had the fuel pump replaced because the stock one went out. Any idea what might be causing this?

um im haveing the same problem..tomorrow im cleaning out my throttle body..last time i was messing wit the rpm whatever its called and i left it to idle at 900 rpms and now it dropped back to um 600 and gave me teh same problems tonight but ill see whats up tomorrow morning when i clean throttle body..
