help with transaxle (please guys)

Hey guys for those of you who have replaced your cv axles did you guys use any special tool? Im removing mine right now and im on the right side axle. I already removed the disc brakes and the three bolts that hold the axle to its mount but now it wont pry off the mount its like pressed on their. What did you guys do? I can even get a small screw driver pounded in there to start to pry. I already printed off the how to's and have been reading my manual but it shows it already a little apart from the mount not how mines is flush up against it. thanks guys.

When I did it with my uncle he simply pulled and it poped out, while I was preparing to catch spilling oil from tranny. Hope it turned all well for you

On my rusty 1995, that passenger side axle took me about an hour to get off. The support bracket was basically frozen to the axle counterpart. I had to chisel a crack and then tap in a screwdriver little by little making the separation larger and larger. I never could pull it out. Once the support bracket was separated from the axle, there is nothing holding the passenger side in--it has no C-clip like the driver's side.
