Cooling dripping off of the oil pan... HELP?!?
About 3 weeks ago, my thermostat went out. Fixed it without taking off the belts. Also installed new goodyear hoses. The hoses are secure and are NOT leaking. I noticed the leak once about 1 week ago; retightened the thermostat housing, and didnt notice the leak until yesterday.
I was parked on a slight incline, cleaning my car for a couple of hours.
When I moved to the street to change my oil, I noticed a steady drip of coolant, falling at a rate of 1 drip every 5 seconds. After a while, probably 20 minutes, the dripping stopped. No coolint is squirting when the engine is on.
I know that I can just keep adding coolant, but I need to recheck compression just to be safe.
There is a strange sound when i start the engine cold. It stays there until i either rev hard, or move the vehicle. Read about the sounds made by the waterpump going out, but im not sure that this is the sound.
Know its not the belts, because the sound was there before I added the UDP w/ new belts.
What could this leak be?!?
Im saving now to rebuild and upgrade the VQ sometime during August.
But intill then, grrrrrrrrr.
Maybe no racing for me.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. -- Thanks

If you've got it good like that... then be my guest. But that water pump job is a biatch. It was a good 5 hour job for me by myself. And that was with the car on a lift. But then again i was taking my time to make sure everything was done right and making a trip to the dealer for a few things. THe water pump itself is only $40, its the actual labor that kills you.
