Fuel filter replacement tip needed

Hey all. I am trying to replace the fuel filter on my 99' SE. I have replaced it before, but this time I am unable to get the filter loose from the hoses ( I can loosen both clamps, buth the hose wont budge). Anyone ever run into this before?
Thanks for any info.

Did you take the fuel pump fuse out and turn it over a couple of times?

Use a plier to twist the hose. If all else falis, cut up the hose. You can buy 5/16" fuel injection hose at your local auto part store.

yeah do that, put a pair of pliers on the hose, while you hold the pliers, grab the filterw ith a glove or osmething and twist it to break the "seal" and then twist it back and forth utnil it pops off, i did mine last week, was a struggle until i used a pair of pliers

Keep cranking the engine for a while, make sure there is NO pressure in the lines. I had one heck of a time until I just cranked the thing for about 30 seconds total and then it came off. Count to 10 three times, you are not really hurting anything, just don't do it every week.

Finally got it off !. Twisting and pulling at the same time was key. You would think that filter holds like a gallon of gas the way it was pouring out of there!
No better way to spend a Saturday night!
