I don't want any lectures on wearing a seat belt yadda yadda yadda, but is there an easy way to make that red seat belt (97 SE) stay off even when the seat belt isn't fastened? I've searched on here and haven't found any discussions about it.

Thanks,
Mike

Cut the seat belt and then put the clip in the holder.

You could pull out the gauge cluster and remove the bulb or you could disconnect the wiring plug under the seat. Depending on how the circuit is designed, you may have to build a jumper to go between the two wire terminals.

This should be your best choice.

Funny how here in FLA now they make you wear a seat belt but you can ride a motorcycle w/o a helmet. I wear a seat belt bc I believe in them but don't understand why our government has to require us to do so. If this is a law, and the helmet's not, it's just further proof of the wack politicians we have and the PAC's who motivate them to pass legislation.
