100 point checkup done

took my car to the dealership to have this 100 point checkup done.

and was i surprised.. they only found 4 things that needed fixing. 1 of which i already knew about

Right side CV Boot - 131.28+tas
Frt Crank Seal - 140.32
Oil Sanding Unit - 36.97
Oil Pan Leak - 412.39
Comes to a total of 720.93 bucks

lol he gave the the page w/ this one it and i almost told him he was crazy thinking i would pay that much

So.. how much do you think it would cost for me to get thest things fixed?

call around and ask your local mechanics if you don't want the stealership taking all your money

Yea please do that...

If you take it to the dealer just be sure to bring some **** ease cuz thats all they're going to do to you. $400 for an oil pan leak? You've got to be kidding me. If thats the oil pan gasket thats leaking... you can do that yourself for the cost of the gasket... which cant be over $20 from the dealer. The oil sender plug? I replaced mine, it cost me $6 and 10 minutes.. the hardest part was finding the hole

well at my nissan dealership they give you a free 100 point inspection in november. the 60000 mile service is like 500$ and they mostly just check stuff.my suggestion would be to get the 15000 mile service and the 100 point inspection save you some money

Took them around 45 mins to do mine. But that was w/ them getting to it as soon as I got there.

And believe me I have no intentions of letting the dealership fix these things.

I just wanted to see what needed to be fixed. and he looked ****ed when I told him that too.

My 60,000 mile service consisted of......... nothing. I did No maintenance on the car at all until about 100,000 when i replaced the spark plugs and brakes.

If you really wanna have a 60k service done, then pop out your airfilter, put a new one in and call it good.

That's funny, I think I'll say that too, just to see the look.

Free. Some people were notified by a flier in the mail. Fixes will cost, but who among us will let a dealership do the work? Not I! I will tell them this straight out when they finish and try to set me up for an appointment. I'll have my mechanic look at the things they tell me need done and see if he agrees, then let him do the work.

I had a free 27-point check up done (in October I think) so now that they got my name in their database, Nissan sends me flyers in the mail.

"100 Point Courtesy Check-Up April 1 to April 30" and it's free. Just call up or go to a local dealer and they'll do it for you. After the check-up, they'll print out a list with all of the problems and they'll give you their great estimate on it

My spring break starts this Friday so I'll probably go to a dealer then or next week. I've been meaning to get my calipers checked (I think they're sticking).

When I went to the 27-point inspection, they wanted about $360 to replace 2 bulbs, the oil pressure switch, and a hose (trans cooler line)

Just got back from my 100 point freebie. Amazingly enough, the dealership found absolutely nothing wrong with my Max. I was figuring they would try to find something they could then try to stick me with the bill for. I would have had any and all work done at my mechanic's shop, but it was amazing to me they didn't find anything wrong. I guess taking care of the machine has paid off.

It should be at all dealerships. Call up your local dealer and tell them you want an appointment for the "100 point courtesy check-up." If they don't know what you're talking about, then call up another dealer If they ask, tell them a friend told you about it.

Dealer ships make most of their money over fixing cars. They don't make whole a lot of money sale a 2004 car. For sure they make good amount of money fixing some poor guy who reads their 100 point Courtesy Check-UP AD.

"The best way ($$$) to help keep your Nissan ready for the road ahead. Take advantage of the Nissan car Care Clinic and let our factory-trained technicians (my a$$) perform your 100 Point Courtesy Check-Up today. It's complimentary. it's thorough. It's the best way to know your Nissan is operating at its full potential.”

This is a good way to pull someone in. Some people don't care how their cars run. Some people do, and these ad's are designed for those who are paranoid about their cars. and want to have it check up.

Just don't let them fix it.

In the ad they listed about 30 things and said "And more!" in the end. Supposedly they check everything: engine, tranny, differential, fuel system, suspension, CV boots, fluids, lights, braking system, exhaust, A/C, heater, and more...

It's free so I'm going but I would never get it repaired there
