Neons
ummmm, you run a wire from a constant 12V to the switch, from the switch to the neon, you can ground it pretty much anywhere.
OR
You could just buy neons with a cig plug anf get a 4 plug adapter.

What if I'm using neons that come w/ a cig plug, can I cut it off to connect to the 12V source?
be careful, only with some can you just cut off the cig plug, if there is a music beat sensor on the cig plug you cannot just cut the plug and wire it. It's wierd but true on 2 diff 12V car things I tried.
you can solder wires onto the cig plug and it works, or you could get a spare cig (female)plug and wire that to the car.

i have 1to4 12V split adapter. two for underdash neon tubes, one for center ZAX blue console, and last one for my radar detector. all wires are under the carpet, nice and clean. neon tubes are secured by zip-tie. sounds ghetto, but it's the easiest way and looks nice.
the only downside is that my neons are always on cuz i need my radar detector as well... oh well..i have neons for about 1 year, it hasn't die yet.
