Recall

A week ago my alternator fried completely. My car couldn't move so I brought it to my mechanic to fix it. It costed me $400 to get a new one with install. Today, I found out that there is a recall for my 98 maxima with alternators and my VIN# matches the list. Is it possible to get my money back? Has anybody tried or actually got their money back? Any recomendations are helpful.
Thanx

yes you will get your money back, just call Nissan Comsumer affair and they will ask you too send them the receipt, and they will mail you the check for total amount.

Go to nissanusa.com and click owners then recalls and you can follow the rest in. I had posted a message about the alternator recall a month or two ago. I would try like hell to get my money back from Nissan considering this was a recall and you weren't contacted. Maybe they will play ball, who knows?!
