Cali Spec vs. Fed. Spec. Y-pipe
I have a 98 maxima. I was just wondering if i really need a cali spec y-pipe. I live in California but i remember someone on the org telling me that only 99's and up need cali spec. If i have a 98 and live in cali, do i still need a cali or will a fed spec y do? I have a pr cai too. I am interested in Silvia's used WS mandrel bent non SS y-pipe. I have an auto. W/ the pr cai and ws ypipe wut kinda whp gains am i lookin at? Thanks for the imput fellas.

95-98 uses the same pipe, cali spec or fed spec. The only structural change came in 99 which uses a different pipe for fed spec than for cali spec. Check your vin if you really wanna know which spec you have, but in reality, it doesn't matter because for you year the pipes are the same
