What is exactly needed to drop car?

What do I need to purchase to have my car dropped? Springs, shocks, struts, camber kit, dust boots, anything else?

As far as I know: springs (obviously), and aftermarket shocks (not required but everyone says they won't last long on stock).

Springs are the only absolute must. Struts will be required within ~5K. Mine lasted less than that. Dust boots are not necessary unless yours are destroyed and even so are not totally necessary. Camber kit isn't necessary unless your doing coilovers (or sprints?). One other thing you might/should need are the strut bushings. If yours are bad replace them. Thats it. I was dropped for six months and only spent $160. But then my stock struts blew and I had to do it right and drop the final $500.

I bought some stock SE struts all 4 for $18.00 from an online member who took them off his 1999 Maxima at 18,000 miles I installed them w/my Max Speed springs and I blew the rear struts in two days, all the oil leaked out, I then went on Ebay to find some replacement rear struts I ended up getting some brand new KYB GR-2’s for $56.00 and I installed them recently! I am currently running the stock SE struts in the front and they are fine! When/if they blow I will replace them w/KYB GR-2’s.
