maximum bulb wattage on fogs ?

What's the highest wattage bulb that can be safely (no melting of wires or cracking of lens) used for the fogs?

thanks

55 watts max. I used PIAA 85w bulbs and they cracked the lenses. I still have them in, but there is now moisture and crap inside the foglight housings. I think I am gonna take the housings out and put some aftermarket yellow fog lamps in. I've seen some at walmart that would fit. All I gotta do is make sure they are water proof and well made, and I will throw the PIAA bulbs in there.

What's your temperature... i just installed my 5800K's and like a minute later the passenger side went out then in another minute, it came back on... weird ****, also, i think the driver side is brighter than the passenger side.

(_8*(l)Homer to many lights! there is not problem with the harness meltng cause there really is not a harness. it is just a male and female adaptor. i use to have 85 watts in for alomost a year, and nothign happened at all, but i switched to a yellow bulb. you can try but some peoples break some don;t.

ManualMaxima, where did you get the yellow bulbs? The only good ones I can find are Narva's. I need the lights so I don't hit any more animals. I've hit 4 deer 1 moose and a turkey that got smushed under my tire and I lost control of the car and bounced off guard rails. Not in the Maxima, thank God. I would like another set of fogs and driving lights pointed to the side more.
