headers (exhaust manifolds), its serves the same purpose as the intake manifold except it is for the exhaust. our V6's have 2 exhaust manifolds, they take the exhaust gases from each of the cylinders and combine them into one pipe. here is a basic example of a header, its for a V8 but its the same principle http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...59&prmenbr=361

Yes, header is another name for the exhaust manifold. In the common automotive usage, header is only used to describe a tubular steel manifold. As opposed the the cast iron OEM-type manifold.
