cv axle boots I assume...

If they have been ripped for a long time then it may be too late to 'just' replace the boots. Otherwise you'll need to replace the cv joints themselves. If I'm not mistaken.

Do you hear a clicking noise?

no its not the cv boot that he is talking about, that is why he put steering in caps. there is a boot that goes over the inner tie-rod end, that is what he is talking about

80 bucks!!! for some bellows boots. those things must be made of kevlar to make them tougher. anyways. you have to remove the outer tie rod then take off the clamps and slide whatevers left off. then just slide on the new ones. and get an alighnment.

As long as you make markings on the tie rod threads, or count the number of rotations, you shouldn't need to go get an allignment afterwards, unless you disconnect the spindle from the strut.
