I looked in the haynes book but it says to replace the whole controler arm. how do you get the balljoint out of the controler arm?

I had both of mine replaced a few months ago since the boots were ripped. They do need to be pressed out and pressed in. I replaced the bushings with Energy Suspension bushings while I was at it. http://www.courtesyparts.com/energys...on/maxima.html

...and you can get them for $23.79 from rockauto.com. I removed the arm myself (this might be expensive if done by someone else) and paid someone $20 to press the balljoints out/in, press the small bushings out, and cut off the big bushings.
