Another Brake problem...

Alright, when braking there is no exsesss vibration...no turning of the stearing wheel...but when im driving straight, occasionally my front left brake starts sqeeking...kinda like the warning indicator when your pads are low...but they shouldnt be low...i just had em checked like 2 months ago...(more on that question below)

When i turn the wheel the sqeeking stops...when i keep going straight its still there...kinda like a continuous squeek...and then i slow down and its gone....

someone advised me to get my rotors turned...i was gona do that today, but i changed my mind thinking that they just might end up getting screwed up again...cause i doubt that the rotors are the problem...if they are, how can you tell if a rotor is warped? the guy that helped me told me to rub my finger up the rotor...he said "you feel those lil bumps? yea thats cause you have warped rotors..." they arent like the grand canyon but there a lil bumpy..i thought this was just normal...he said it wasnt..is it? btw i felt the back rotors and they are smooth compared to the front rotors..but then again all the braking is on the front anyways...so? any ideas?

ok...now maybe my pads are just needing to be replace...wich i doubt HIGHLY...but incase they are...how do i know if i should replace em? should i measure them? if so what should they be measured at?....does anyone have a good pic of a bad and good pad?

and if they are gona need to be replaced....the pads that is...then how do i tell if the warning indicator is what is making that noise?? where the hell is it? pics?

i really need input on this.. its been bothering me for so long now..im ready to kill the max...lol jk

Hap Py rIce fOb: waz up?
Jahoosapheth: hey dude..
Jahoosapheth: brakes...squeeking when im not pressing brake....
Jahoosapheth: when i turn the noise goes away....
Hap Py rIce fOb: uneven rotor wear
Jahoosapheth: how do i fix it?
Hap Py rIce fOb: most likely the caliper is not installed correctly
Hap Py rIce fOb: take off your caliper
Hap Py rIce fOb: clean it
Hap Py rIce fOb: put it back on
Jahoosapheth: sometimes it doesnt do it tho..
Jahoosapheth: its not a constant thing...
Hap Py rIce fOb: yea it happened to me before when i installed my brembos
Jahoosapheth: hmm
Hap Py rIce fOb: that's just my guess
Jahoosapheth: so dissasemble the brakes..
Jahoosapheth: should i take apart the whole caliper?
Hap Py rIce fOb: yea
Hap Py rIce fOb: it could help
Jahoosapheth: does that mean i have to disconect the brake line and all that?
Hap Py rIce fOb: no u don't need to
Jahoosapheth: oic
Jahoosapheth: would this happen if the people that did my brakes last time didnt put the shim back in? and just left the pad in there without a shim?
Hap Py rIce fOb: !!!
Hap Py rIce fOb: u need the shim
Hap Py rIce fOb: u can't leave it out
Hap Py rIce fOb: wtf were they thinking?
Jahoosapheth: i dont think thats what happend lol
Jahoosapheth: im just asking..
Jahoosapheth: LOL
Hap Py rIce fOb: lol
Hap Py rIce fOb: yes it could be a problem as well
Jahoosapheth: cause i just drove by the place like a week ago..and the windows are borded up lol
Jahoosapheth: it was a firestone place lol
Hap Py rIce fOb: lol
Jahoosapheth: what do the shims look like?
Hap Py rIce fOb: that metal thingy
Hap Py rIce fOb: ugh...i don't have a picture with me on that
Jahoosapheth: its just a metal strip that goes on the back of the pad?
Jahoosapheth: just a thin sheet of metal right?
Jahoosapheth: and then there is that seperate metal thing that is all bent and stuff? or is that the shim?
Hap Py rIce fOb: it's the metal strip that goes on the back of the pad
Jahoosapheth: oh ok kewl...
