Before I went with a (complete) syspension upgrade I used to have the 2" dropzone springs on my stock SE struts. The ride was fine, it was not much harsher then the stock SE setup if any harsher at all. I can't intelligently argue that it will be the same for you because I am unfamiliar with your local road conditions, I live in California & we have our share of pot holes too. I had the DZ springs on the car for about a yr. before I changed the entire setup & the rear didn't sag like most people say dropzone springs do. My only complaint about lowering my car was this vibration type noise when ever I would drive over some kind of cobble stone drive way or something. It is caused by the springs hitting eachother when they are compressed. I have too say that this is a common problem with all brands of springs for the maxima. If you read more of the forums you will see that almost everyone who has dropped there max has the same issue ( VIBRATION NOISE). If you do plan on lowering your max, just remember to wrap the springs where they will eventually come in contact with eachother & this will minimize or even eliminate the noise all together. There are many materials that you can use for the springs & I'm sure others will pop in with some suggestions, but I used a roll of tennis racket or metal baseball bat wrap. It worked wonders & was plenty durable to handle the problem. It did not tear, rip, rub apart or any of that. It worked excellent! I know that (DROPZONE) springs are not the best quality part you can buy, I personally prefer eibach springs, but everyone has there own preference & price range so go with that and everything will turn out ok. Good luck with the project.

I remember when I was researching the spring's for the lowest drop I could only find a couple of company's that produced a 2" drop without having to go to coil over's. I think the other company that has 2" drop springs for the max is Sprint "I personally would go with Sprint over Dropzone". I'm not positive, but I think there the only other company that carries a 2" drop spring for the max. I think that the Eibach sportline is a 2" drop, but I'm not sure if they carry that product line (sportline) for a maxima. I think the Eibach's for the max are (Pro-kit) One thing I wish I would have done was contact Eibach & ask if they can cross reference the (Sportline) to see if any other vehicles use the same kind of spring as the max.
