Single tip or dual tip exhaust?

I saw someone inn the org with moderate sized dual tips off the mufler, I thought it looked phat! Kind of like the 3rd gen, but nicer.

I'm getting a magnaflow in a couple of days, and i want the twins.

What do you guys think?

got PICS of yours?

Price quote, is it reasonable?

My mechanic quoted me $220 for the magnaflow muffler, and the stainless dual tip all installed.

Does that sound right?

How much did you pay?

IMO single tip for import style (japanese). dual tip for DTM style (european).

I am partial to dual tips on bigger 4 door cars like Maximas. I think single tip mufflers look best on smaller 2 door cars...like civic hatches and 240s.

I voted for the single tip, because it is easier. The dual tips look good IMO, but it is kind of a pain to cut on the bumper to make it fit. Anyway, I have done that in the past and there are too many things that can go wrong with your paint and such when you start messing with your bumper.

Whatever you want.
Neither one will look bad....just do it and post some pics of what you did.

Dual tip looks better on the Max. Looks more agressive too.

The 3rd gen came with twin tips, so why would it look bad on the 4th gen?

I only like dual tip on the maxima if it has one tip on each side, like 99Maxima5sp's setup

How does the pwertech mufler sound without a resonator before it? I don't have a resonator in my mid pipe.
How does this compare to magnaflow?
I think I would go with the PT1011, cuz the 1012 is too big.

I posted a pic of it above...Powertech PT-1011. You can find more pics on my site. Believe it or not I took that pic of my muffler almost a year after I first bought it, the finish is still as shiny and flawless as day 1 without any polishing or anything. Sounds absolutely great...better than the magnaflow vids I've seen. Those sound kinda farty to me
