how to take off rusted screws

how to take off rusted screws

i wanna take off the screws that are on my plates, but they wont come off. damn things are rust all the way. i use force and i only rounded it some, so i stop trying to take it off. is there another way to get them off?

spray some wd40 or any kind of super lubricant rust remover on them and let it sit for about 5 mins then they should be ready to come off...

if possible spray some WD40 in a little baggy and somehow affix it to the bolt...so the bolt just soaks in it for a while...that works well for me on easy to get to bolts...

If they're too rounded out just drill them out and pick up a new stainless pair for a couple of bucks.

got a dremel? cut a slot in the head and use a flat head screwdriver

Just get a set of easy-outs and all you will need is a drill and a couple small drill bits.

Go to sears and get Bolt Off Bolt Remover Set.
I had to get bolts off cat converter and it worked like a charm.

they are a little pricey for what you are getting but they work like a charm when you need them
