clutch slipping, time for new clutch?

I drive a '96 SE with about 150000 miles on it. About two weeks ago I started to notice a slip in the clutch. If I get on the gas hard the rpms rev up a little before it picks up and goes. I am assuming that it might be time for a new clutch. I want something that will be more durable than OEM nad have a little more bite. I like to get up to the speed limit quickly.

If this post is in the wrong spot I'm sorry. Let me know where and how I sould post these sorts of questions.

146,310 times...that's amazing!

To answer your question, if you really don't want an OEM clutch, I'd recommend ACT (from experience) or an Exedy (from reading). I'm going to try out Exedy the next time my clutch goes.

Yeah, from what I have read Exedy seems to be a pretty good clutch.

and the Exedy grabs better than the OEM and will live as long? My clutch is going and I might replace it with something that grabs better, all depends.

Thanks for the input. I am going to check out the Exedy. Is there anything esle I should think about repacing while I am having the clutch done?

defintly go with a lightened flywheel, it'll boost up the hp. it'll just take you a little while to get used to driving.

I'm definitely a huge fan of the Exedy clutches. I've heard a lot of people liking Exedy clutches in Maximas a lot better than ACT. Personally, I love the ACT in my Maxima... But then again, I have a 3 Puck in the torqueless Accord, so I'm used to driving crazy clutches.

http://www.clutchcityonline.com/ I think... That's where I got my 3 puck Exedy. They sell spec, Exedy, and ACT there. And flywheels. With a mild street clutch, I'd get the ACT ProLite flywheel too. I cut 11lbs off my flywheel weight and it barely even noticed it.

Is the price of a lightened flywheel worth the hp? I haven't found that many places selling flywheels for maximas, does any know were I could find a good price on one?
