i want to add power gas lid pop button to my dash...any help??

i know i30's have them, not sure if any 4th gen maximas have them though. anyways, i know member vsamloy has this done but he hasn't answered any of the pm's i sent. since maximas seem to be prewired for almost everything, is there a wire hiding somewhere with a harness? i can buy the button from an infiniti dealer, just wondering how i can go about doing this.

my objective is to add this button and get rid of the lever on the floor. similar to the trunk pop button i added since my gxe didn't come with it stock.

any help would be much appreciated.

Considering you're actually pulling a cable with that lever to make the door pop, I think it will be a little more involved than you think. You'd need a small solenoid calibrated to pull the cable the proper amount. If you could get that, and mount it somewhere, all you'd need to do is power it, and attach a switch.

I like the lever much more than the button. Why would you spend money on this when there are so many better things you haven't yet done.

ha! the responses in this forum crack me up.

it's just something small i'm looking into. it shouldn't cost too much at all, but if it does, i won't do it.

they're my mods and i'll do what i want to

i personally think the lever sucks...but that's me, and that's why i'm looking into this.

I always wondered what that extra slot was for. I always doubted Nissan intended it to be used for misc. switches and leds.
